How it works

The only thing to get started is an image of your bike. Although not absolutely required, for best results the image should be well-lit and positioned so that all parts of the bike are visible clearly, few examples are shown below:

Once you upload your images, service will try to find similar images from index. The index itself is updated daily.

Bike Search service performs daily scan of public data and update bike index. When new image is found, it goes through multiple steps:

  • Cropping and padding the image, removing non-bike parts.
  • Categorizing the image based on context of the source of image (ad title, for example).
  • Each image gets a unique score in our similarity model.

Each user uploaded image is compared to bike index to find most similar images and returns them along with all available metadata.
